In the FAMILY GUY episode “And I’m Joyce Kinney”, Lois Griffin finds that she is no longer welcome in her local church, due to the community learning of a regrettable and embarrassing incident of her youthful past.
Usually a selfish jerk, but here uncharacteristically
sympathetic, her husband Peter consoles her as only a character of television
animation can:
“Come on, Lois. If it
makes you feel any better, I don’t care.
“…And, what does it matter what those people in church
think?
“…I mean most of them are just RANDOM BACKGROUND PEOPLE we’ve
never seen before anyway!
"...Half of ‘em
DON’T EVEN MOVE! The other half JUST BLINK!”
